A decent hotel. The rooms could are large enough for two people. But they could use some cleaning from smoke. They do provide a decent breakfast. It has a "TGIF" restaurant on premise, and TGIF provides a 15% off bill if you stay in the hotel in the final bill.
there was only one towel in our room with two double beds that had four people staying in it. we didn't notice until the morning and when we went to the front desk, the response was slow. we actually went back a second time because we hasn't gotten them yet. it's a small thing, but we all wanted to shower. there was a used bar of soap in the room when we got there as well, but that bothered my sister's more than me. the employees were nice, I have no big complaints. just not wowed by the service.
This hotel had what I needed. It accommodated pets with no weight restrictions - Great Dane friendly! They places us in what they considered a dog friendly area. Just a few doors down from the outside dog area with cleanup station. Will visit again as not many other hotels allow big dogs. Check-in was easy as well as check out. Got in late and left early so I can't speak on what amenities the hotel offered in addition. TGI Friday's was connected to the reception area which was a nice plus knowing we could have ordered food without having to leave the hotel area. Dog friendly!
I stayed here due to a late business dinner at a restaurant in Mohegan Sun. Where the hotel desk staff are friendly the hotel itself is one of the very worst I have ever stayed. The room had broken tiles in the shower, the beds were lumpy, the light did not work over the bathroom sink. The steps going up to the second floor had broken chunks out of the concrete and seemed a safety hazard for anyone who would need to walk in the poorly lit area. View was beautiful from the 2nd floor overlooking Wilkes Barre. If the hotel was updated it could have outstanding capabilities. The room was clean. The friendly staff are one of the important aspects of keeping this place going I would think. The comp breakfast and maids and lady at the front desk probably keep business coming in.
I was in a downstairs, king bed room. The room was quite clean, though the tub itself had a few hairs in it that weren't ours. The room was nice and clean other than that. The bed and other seating were quite comfortable and it has everything you need. Good for a low price!
